Korkers Buckskin.
Korkers makes a great boot. Their innovative interchangeable sole is a real blessing and their Buckskin is a well priced, lightweight boot that is right on par with Korkers quality that I have come to expect. The Buckskin weighs in at 2lbs 15oz a pair and carry a price tag of $139.
You can choose two of the three available soles when ordering. Those options are King-On, Studded Kling-On and plain felt. I prefer the studded kling-on and the kling-on soles over the felt. Let's face it, felt is a thing of the past anyway. I have hiked into some remote spots with the Kling-on sole on then swapped out the soles at the water. It's easy to do. I will say the first time you open the box and go to swap out soles it can be a challenge. But once you do it once it is incredibly simple. The Buckskin has the newer sole design vs the old Sportsmens. The Sportsmens are a bit more of a challenge until you have swapped them out a few times. I still have my Sportsmens and have used them for a good 6 years. I finally upgraded to the Buckskin last year and overall I am pleased. I have only one issue with them and that is the traditional eyelet lacing. It would be nice to have the metal D rings like the KGB's or the ones that the old Sportsmens had. It would make it easier to tighten and remove especially in the winter.
The Pros- Light weight, durable, comfortable, excellent drainage, removable soles, price
The Cons- Lacing
